Frequently asked questions

Can you tell something more about villa '3 BEAUFORT'?

'3 BEAUFORT' is a charming villa in a residential area in the historic centre of Nieuwpoort, close tot the quay and yachtclub.  The villa has been decorated comfortably and stylish.  It is the ideal starting point to visit the coast, Bruges, go to the Westhoek or go cycling in the polders.

What is available in the villa?

  • There is a comfortable seating area with cable TV, DVD and radio.
  • Wireless internet connection
  • Large dining table for 10 people, 2 children's seats (Stokke)


  • Plates and cutlary
  • Water, beer, champagne and wineglasses
  • Watercooker for coffee and tea, Senseo machine
  • Microwaveoven, oven, dishwasher, induction cooker
  • Fridge for normal daily use, freezer
  • Washing machine, dryer


  • Blankets and pillows
  • 3 double beds 160 cm wide
  • 4 single beds 90 cm wide
  • 2 foldable child beds

What do I bring?

  • Quilt cover, bedspreads, pillowcases (3 double beds (160 cm), 4 singe beds (90 cm), 2 foldable child beds (120 cm x 60 cm). These can also be rented for 10 euros per single bed and 20 euros per double bed per change. For the 2 foldable child beds (120 cm x 60 cm), you will need to bring all sheets and blankets.

 

  • Kitchen towels
  • Bathroom towels (can also be rented for 5 euros per person per stay).

 

Are there shops in the neighbourhood?

In the immediate proximity of the house, you will find several supermarkets, fish shops, bakeries, butchers and other stores.

 

When shopping, please note that the fridge is a normal size.  Be careful not to bring too much. 

 

What is not available?

Deep fryer and toaster. The use of deep fryer or Fondue is prohibited in the house.

 

Is there a garden?

The closed garden of 600 m²˛ is very nice and sunny.  There are several terraces, a playing area for the children and a jeux de boules court.  Garden furniture and is also foreseen.

 

Can we easily park a car?

You can conveniently park one car in the garage, one in front of the garage, one in the driveway at the side and two on the street in front.

 

What are the arrival and leaving times?

Arrival is possible as of 5 pm.  When leaving, the villa needs to be available by 10 am.

 

Where should we leave garbage?

Nieuport works with collection points where you can leave your garbage bags. For large bags, you will need a 50 eurocents coin. For small bags, you will need a 20 eurocents coin.  At the collection point, you can also leave glass, plastic, paper and cardboard. This is free of charge. For any garbage bags left behind in the house, we will charge you 8 euro per bag.

 

Can we move furniture?

No, we explicity request not to move any furniture.  This can cause a lot of damage and is therefore forbidden.  It also causes extra cleaning work which will be invoiced to the user.

 

What about elecricity, gas and water consumption?

Following consumption is included in the rental price:

- 15 Kwh of electricity per night. Extra consumption of electricity will be charged at 0.5 euro per kwh of electricity.

- 1 mł of water per night. Extra consumption of electricity will be charged at 10 euro per cubic meter of water.

 

How should the payment be made?

The reservation will only be accepted after payment of an advance of 30% with reference of your name and the period you are booking for.

 

The remaining amount (70%) and caution (400 euro) must be paid 2 weeks before arrival with reference of your name and the period you are booking for.

 

Ifthe rental agreement is made less than 6 weeks before the day of arrival, the entire rental amount needs to be paid within three working days after the reservation.

 

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation charges are as follows:

  • free of charge if the reservation has been made less than 7 days ago and it is not a last minute reservation (last minute reservations are reservations where the start of the rental period is within 8 weeks of the date of reservation).
  • 30% of rental price when cancelling before 8 weeks of the start of your stay
  • 100% of rental price when cancelling within 8 weeks of the start of your stay

 

What about the rental guarantee?

A rental guarantee of 400 euro is due together with the payment of the rental price.

 

The rental guarantee will be refunded within one week after the end of your stay after possible deduction of extra electricity, gas or water consumption.

 

Careful:  In case of damage, the renter is liable for the full cost of repairs, even if it exceeds the guarantee amount.

 

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is forbidden in the entire villa.  Smoking is allowed in the garden, but we expressly ask that no cigarette buts will be left in the garden.

 

Are pets allowed?

Pets are not allowed.

 

Do we need to clean the house when leaving?

The cleaning at the end is mandatory. The end of stay cleaning will be charged at 90 euro.  This will give you the guarantee that the villa will be clean when you arrive and on top of that, you don't need to spend your stay cleaning.  We do request that the villa is left reasonably clean and that all pots and pans and dishware are clean and stored in the right place.  The cost of extra work can be withheld from the guarantee amount at 20 euro per hour.

 

What about insurances?

The villa is fully insured (with franchise).
